Procedure Text is a text that designed to described how 
something is achieved through a sequence of action or steps. It explains how people preform different process in a sequence of steps. The purpose of Procedure Text is to explain how something can be done.

The Characteristic of Procedure Text

• Use Simple Present Tense, usually in imperative sentences.
• Usually use temporal conjuctions, like first, second, next, then, finally, and etc.
• Usually use action verb, such as turn on, stir, give, cook, and etc.
• Usually use imperative verb, like out, don’t, mix, and etc.
• Usually use adverbial phrases, ex : for five minutes, 2 centimeters from the top, and etc.

The Generic Structure of Procedure Text

• Goal          : The final purpose of doing the instructions.
• Materials   : Ingredients, utensils, equipment to do the instructions.
• Steps         : A set of instructions to achieve the final purpose.
